I make no excuses for posting more osprey photos. I stopped to take these on my way into work on Tuesday, I even missed collecting my cup of Timmies - If you are in Canada then you will understand the significance of that! Edit: Timmies = Tim Horton's curiously addictive coffee for the Canadian masses.
I like the ominous way the family are outlined against the sky, waiting for Dad to come home with breakfast perhaps?
After a while the way they stare back becomes unnerving especially when combined with the warning cry that
they make.

Wonderful pics of your Ospreys. Such a blessing to be able to watch them so close to home.
Love these osprey shots.... they do have a challenging stare! Beautiful header photo! Timmies??
That is one threatening stare!
I love the silhouette shot, making you look closely to see what all is included in that nest.
i love watching these birds - the youngsters look so sweet yet powerful especially when they 'head waggle'!
A steady hand without your Tims!
I was enjoying these views of the birds, until I got to that beady stare!
Wonderful shots! I need a bumper sticker that says "I stop for osprey nests." :) I think osprey are fascinating. (Oh, and I drink Tim Hortons coffee too, LOL)
They are fierce!!!! My hawk is like that, too! (or whatever the heck it is!) http://mymuskoka.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-is-measure-of-life.html
Lovely shots of the osprey - I've never seen one that close!
I Like the first one. It's interesting !
Up here on my lake the osprey have to be happy with an old snag. There are several nearby. On a recent fishing trip we found a new nest with both parents attending eggs I assume since there was no chick sounds drifting down. - Margy
Tres cool photos. Worth missing the Timmies for.
Have the babies flown yet? Or are they still 'babies'?
